  • Masino Intaray was a member of the Pala’wan Tribe, also known as the Palawano Tribe.

  • The Palawano Tribe is among the original dwellers on the island of Palawan. 

  • The Palawano Tribe are thought to be descendants of the earliest people recognized to have inhabited Southeast Asia, which is the Tabon Cavemen. 

  • The Palawano Tribe is divided into four subgroups namely, the Central Palawano, Brooke’s Point Palawano, Southwest Palawano, and South Palawano. 

  • The tribe’s language appears to resemble the Malay. 

  • The tribe’s young boys and girls are thought to weave at an early age. 

  • In the past, the tribe is known to be hunters, forest-foragers, and cultivators. Today, they are mainly agricultural.
